I find it so funny now -- that this was their idea of "posing". They were so literal at that age!

At this age...

I highly recommend the FAO Schwarz Pop-up Castle Tent.  We went through two of them as the boys loved them to death (literally!).  They loved to read books in them with pillows and blankies; and they loved to take them outside and "hide" in there.  Those tents were their sanctuaries and their play spaces.  Truly awesome.

As for books, the boys loved the P.D. Eastman classics like Go Dog Go! and Are You My Mother?  We used the original books that Matt grew up with and we still have them!  Absolute classics.
